Beijing: Iman chairman discusses academic exchange with Vice President of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences

Ribal Al-Assad, Chairman of the Iman Foundation, had a meeting with Mr. Li Shenming, Vice President of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS) in Beijing. They had a comprehensive discussion about the work of the think tank and academic exchange.

Mr Shenming is also a Member of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC).

CASS is the highest academic research organization in the fields of philosophy and social sciences as well as a national center for comprehensive studies in the China. It was described by Foreign Policy magazine as the top think tank in Asia. CASS is made up of 31 research institutes and more than 50 research centers, which carry out research activities covering about 260 sub-disciplines of different grades, among them 131 are key ones. CASS has 3,767 on-the-job staff members.

Commenting on the meeting, Ribal said;

"I was delighted and honoured to meet Li Shenming. We had a fascinating discussion about CASS and academic exchange with the world. Iman looks forward to working with CASS to build ties and develop academic research exchange."
