Hon. Frank Heinrich MP (Germany)

Frank Heinrich has bee elected as member of the German Bundestag (MP) since 2009. He is a member of the Christian Democratic Union (CDU). Mr Heinrich is a full member of the Development committee as well as the Human Rights Committee of the German Bundestag. After completing his studies in social work and after two semesters of Theology in Canada in the 1980s, Frank worked many years as the Head of the Salvation Army and Divisional Youth Officer in Chemnitz.

He holds a diploma in social work from the University of applied Sciences in Freiburg and he studied theology in Basel. Before entering parliament in 2009, Mr Heinrich was a management consultant and a Salvation Army officer (Minister) in Cologne. He was for many years the Head of the Salvation Army's youth work in Eastern Germany and Berlin, and a Founding Member and Chairman of the "JumiZu" Association (Youth with a Future).

Currently he is Chairman of the Youth division of the Evangelical Alliance Germany (EAD), a Member of the committee "family/demography“ of the CDU-Party in Saxony, Vice chairman of the local chapter Chemnitz South-West, Founding member and chairman of the association “tellerlein deck dich”, Chairman of the district chapter Chemnitz of the CDU-Party, Vice chairman of the Evangelical work group of the CDU-Party in Saxony (EAK), Member of the executive board of the Evangelical Alliance Germany (EAD), Chairman of the association "Perspektiven für Familien e.V. - Haus Kinderland", Member of the foundation council tot he foundation “Grundwerte und Völkerverständigung”.

Mr Heinrich is married and has four children.
