IMAN Chairman speaks to RT on crises in the Middle East

Iman Chairman Ribal Al-Assad recently spoke to Russia Today on the various crises facing the Middle East today.

With host Oksana Boyko, Ribal spoke about topics including the growing threat of Islamic extremism, the slide of Turkey towards authoritarianism under President Erdogan, and the power struggles tearing countries in the Middle East region apart.

He said that the world community should unite to counter the perverted ideology of Islamic extremism, and insisted that only those groups which fully commit to democracy and human rights should be involved in peace negotiations in countries such as Syria.
